Information Neusiedl am See

Information about the Venue:
The venue will be the Austrian Sailing Training Institute, a state-of-the-art purpose built sailing centre at the edge of Lake Neusiedl.

The lake, well known for its perfect sailing conditions, is 36 km long and up to 14 km wide. The average water depht is between 1.6 and 1.9 mtrs.

The wind:

The prevailling wind in April is either a north-westerly, ranging between 15 and 25knots or the southerly, where we can expect up to 20knots.  The air temperature might reach the mid-20’s but may also just move above 15°C. Water temperature will be somewhere between 15 and 20 degrees.

Access to Neusiedl am See:
Neusiedl am See is well linked to Europe’s highway network.
Arriving from Northern Europe, follow A4 after passing by Vienna until Exit 42. Leave the highway and follow road B51 to Neusiedl town centre. Then follow signs to the lake “Seebad”.
Next international airports are Vienna International airport, a star alliance hub offering flights to all main destination in Europe and overseas, and Bratislava airport, where some budget airlines are operating flights to main hubs. Both airports are just a 25 minutes drive from the venue.
